This morning our reign came to an end when Jenny and I checked out of our castle in Obidos.
On our way to Tomar we visited the Almourel castle, which resides on a island in the Tagus river.
By afternoon we made it to Tomar where we broke down by eating lunch at McDonalds. I enjoyed a beer with my Big Mac. We checked into our hotel and hiked 15 minutes up a hill to see the Convento de Cristo, which was founded in 1162.
Internet access is nearly nonexistent so far, which is why we haven’t had the opportunity to post any photos.
