Irv Pearce receives William H. Deitrick Service Medal

While I’ve twice had a job title with the word “architect” in it (Content Architect and Enterprise Architect), my dad is the real deal — you know, the kind of architect that designs buildings.

Two weeks ago, my father Irvin Pearce received the AIA (American Institute of Architects) North Carolina William H. Deitrick Service Medal. The metal is AIA North Carolina’s highest service award and is presented to an AIA North Carolina member who exhibits extraordinary service to the community, profession, or AIA North Carolina.

Dad’s employer Clark Nexsen posted a nice article “NC AIA Honors Irvin Pearce for Extraordinary Service” that covers his four decades of local, state, and reginal levels of AIA leadership. Way to go dad.
