Boarded a Delta flight today that had a new interface that addesses which seat is the window seat and which is the isle.
To do so, they cleverly added some perspective. And at my 6′2″ perspective, I could clearly read and understand the seating asignment without having to bend down.
Went to an apple orchard today in a town about 30 minutes southwest of Indianapolis. Lots and lots of apples.
Jenny and I just got back from a vacation to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, two of Canada’s Maritime provinces.
We arrived to Halifax, Nova Scotia, shortly after lunch, checked in to the Prince George Hotel, and spent the afternoon and evening along the city’s boardwalk. Fired clam strips for lunch and boiled scallops for dinner began my week-long seafood feast.
Renting a car, we explored harbors south of the city. Peggy’s Cove featured a red and white lighthouse, Mahone Bay featured three churches facing a beautiful harbor, and Lunenburg had an impressive Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic that included two ships you could board.
We explored more of Halifax, visiting its botanical garden, Citadel Hill, the Town Clock, and more.
Renting a car, we made the journey to Souris, Prince Edward Island, where we stayed at the Matthew House Inn bed and breakfast. Along the way, we ate lunch near a pirate ship in Pictou, Nova Scotia, boarded the ferry in Caribou, Nova Scotia, arrived to Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island, and made it to Singing Sands Beach in time for sunset, where the sand would "sing" when you walked on it.
We returned the car at the Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, by lunch. Setting out on foot, we spent most of the afternoon in Charlottetown’s harbor, shops, restaurants, and listening to live Celtic music by the waterfront.
On our last day it rained; and most of the shops were closed due to a holiday. We did visit the Art Museum, Founder’s Hall Museum, and the Province House where Canada was formed. Otherwise, we roamed the streets admiring the city’s Victorian architecture
Jenny and I arrived to LA this morning for the LA Film Festival. My brother’s film, The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell, makes its world debut tonight at midnight at the Majestic Crest Theater in Westwood.
The CFEA conference this year was held in Memphis. Lambda Chi Alpha placed in two awards, I gave a workshop on embracing electronic distribution, and I was re-elected to the board, this time as secretary. As a reward, a few of us went to a baseball game before catching our evening flights.
