Don’t call it a cavity

Don't call it a cavity

I think today I got my first cavity.

I’m not sure, for the lady cleaning my teeth thought it was a cavity, but the dentist said “It’s not a cavity yet, but it will become one if I don’t get it filled.”

So when’s a cavity a cavity? If it’s not a cavity, then exactly what is the dentist going to fill?

Regardless, I’m 33 and have gone this long without a cavity. I think mt teeth are doing pretty good.

Haunted by Arrows

Do you see it? I’m talking about the arrow cleverly hidden between the E and X in the FedEx logo. Once I discovered the arrow, it’s all I can see. I experienced a similar fixation when I discovered breast as a teenager.

Arkansas Roadrunner

An interfraternal buddy of mine, Len Rayburn, managed to video tape a wild roadrunner in his backyard. Len does freelance work from home and saw the bird while working on a web project. Took him about 20 minutes to shoot the video and get it up on the web. Sometimes I’m envious of folks using Macs.

Fly or Float

Fly or Float

Which is more impressive, lift or displacement? Though its adoption is much older, I’m much more impressed seeing a huge metal ship float motionless than I am soaring along at 35,000 feet.

Maybe it’s my perception that its the jet engines keeping me aloft more than the wings, while a tanker doesn’t have to be moving at all.

Which impresses you the most?

One Big Bubble

Call me risky. Call me crazy. For I have been driving around town with a huge bubble in one of my tires that could blow any second. Today, my new tire arrives. Too bad, for I just bought new tires one year ago.
