Received my Google Wave invite
Posted Monday, October 26th, 2009 at 7:42 amI received my Google Wave invite while I was away on my honeymoon.
While it is nice to have access to the tool, it would be more useful if I could send invitations to coworkers and friends so I could actually have a reason to try it out. I have five contacts, but none whom I work with regularly. Perhaps Google will soon permit users to invite others much the same way they did when Gmail launched.

Do you have a Google Wave account? If so, let me know and we can give it a spin.
Back to the US and ample Internet access
Posted Friday, October 23rd, 2009 at 12:25 pmWe’ve had a great honeymoon and have a lot of photos to upload and emails to read.
We will both enjoy have easy and ample access to the Internet, which was either unavailable or prohibitively expensive in Portugal.
Arrived to Porto
Posted Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at 5:35 pmJenny and I are enjoying our honeymoon. So far we have stayed in a castle, in a nice hotel at the base of a castle, in a palace in the Duro wine region, and are now exploring Portugal’s second largest city Porto (aka Oporto).
Internet access has been abysmal, but what do you expect when you are staying in castles and former palaces? We devoted an hour in an internet cafe this evening, which gave me enough time to upload a few photos.
These photos are panorama photos that I stitched together from multiple images. They are large images, so to enjoy them best visit Flickr and click on All Sizes to view a more detailed image of these amazing places.

Trip to Tomar
Posted Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 at 8:23 amThis morning our reign came to an end when Jenny and I checked out of our castle in Obidos.
On our way to Tomar we visited the Almourel castle, which resides on a island in the Tagus river.
By afternoon we made it to Tomar where we broke down by eating lunch at McDonalds. I enjoyed a beer with my Big Mac. We checked into our hotel and hiked 15 minutes up a hill to see the Convento de Cristo, which was founded in 1162.
Internet access is nearly nonexistent so far, which is why we haven’t had the opportunity to post any photos.
